Radiation Day 27

Aidan woke up this morning asking to go to radiation and to see Dr. Chen.  We then had to break the news to him that once again Dr. Chen would not be there.  Then he asked to have Dr. A be there.  Once again we had to explain that today would not be Dr. A either but that Sally would be there.  Since it has been about three or four weeks since we saw Sally last he had no idea who I was talking about.  All he cared about was the fact that neither Dr. A or Dr. Chen was going to be there, which did not sit well with him.
In just the nick of time all six of us piled into the van and headed out to radiation.  As usual Aidan was all ready for his sleepy medicine.  First of course though he had his usual check up routine.  If they forget any one of the steps he makes sure to remind them of what needs to be done.  When Sally came in she asked Aidan how George was doing (his port) Aidan told her that George was ready for his "sleepy medicine."
Today Aidan asked that Papa go in with him.  I was not sure if they would let all three of us in the radiation room since technically there is only supposed to be one of us in there.  But I decided to go with them as far as the door way since, being a mom, I could not handle staying back in the recovery room.  Once there though the ladies said I was welcome to come in with them.  I was thrilled since we have a very set routine in the radiation room.  Aidan sits in Daddy's lap while I stand behind them while George gets his bath and his drink.  Then Aidan cuddles into Mike's arms and I come behind and put my hands on Aidan's cheeks and my face down to him.  Then I talk to him as he falls off to sleep.  Afterwords Mike moves Aidan onto the table and I give him a kiss before we go.  Since Dad was there today he held Aidan's hand  while he went off to sleep.
Since we were the only ones there today we all hung out in the recovery room while Aidan slept for about an hour and forty minutes.  While Aidan slept we enjoyed some good laughter while telling stories and making plans for the future.  
When Aidan woke up we decided to head down to Pike Place Market and wander around for a while.  We should have known better than to go down there on a Friday.  It was pretty packed and we actually didn't even get to see much.  First, there is not a lot to interest the boys, and second, it was so packed and muggy that we were just ready to go.  First, though we made sure that we took the boys to the magic shop.  They loved it and they each got a magic trick that they could learn to do.  
After Pike Place we just headed back to the house to hang out with Mom and Dad.  Once again dinner was provided.  Tonight it was spaghetti with garlic bread and salad.  As usual Aidan hardly touched a thing on his plate.  We did manage to get a shake down him though.  Back upstairs we watched the movies "Glory Road" and then we each fell asleep at different times with Mike staying up the latest waiting to hear from Lance and De who were on their way up here.
