Seattle Day 50

June 26, 2006

Hello everyone.  I bet you all thought that I have forgot how much you like to hear how Aidan and the rest of us are doing.  I promise, I have not.  We have been dealing with a highly annoying internet connection that seems to only work when it feels like it.  So, cross you fingers and I may actually get through this entry without being knocked off.
Instead of trying to summarize the last week in one entry I am just going to tell you about today and work on the other entries as I can.  I made sure to write down notes of each day so I could remember what happened.
As for today, thing went great.  It was our first Monday without radiation and the boys took full advantage of it.  They both slept until 10:30!  Mike was up bright and early this morning though because today was his year end final exam for his apprentice program.  And I am proud to report that my husband did awesome and easily passed his test.  We are so proud of him!  This year is the hardest year in the program and he did so well, especially considering everything that has been going on.
Most of the day we spent inside since it was 90 degrees outside.  We ventured out for a little bit around noon to get some ice cream to celebrate Mike's achievement.  After that, we just came back to the house and worked on cleaning and doing laundry to catch up from the weekend.  Luckily, dinner was provided tonight since we didn't have any groceries and we were exhausted from the days activities,
After dinner we decided to take a little walk along the paths that surround the house.  We didn't make it too long because we were trying to have Aidan walk as much of it as he could to help him build up his muscles.  He did very well.  He even did a set of stairs a couple of times because he wanted to count them.
We are now back at the house, in our jammies, and ready to chill for the night.  Tomorrow is a big day.  Aidan is having his MRI tomorrow that will tell us how things are going with his tumor.  Sadly the appointment is not until 1:15 which means that Aidan can not have food after 7:30 in the morning and no water after 10:30 am.  It should make for a long morning.  Right after Aidan wakes up from his anesthesia we will head upstairs to see Dr. Geyer and get the results from his MRI.
Have a great night!

Tanya

We will be praying for the best possible MRI results today. We know that God has been working already and we pray that this will show in today's MRI. "He performs wonders that cannot be athomed, miracles that cannot be counted." Job 5:9
