Today was a long day spent at Children's Hospital.  The morning started with our weekly physical therapy appointment at 10:00.  Aidan did a great job!  He jumped on the little trampoline, did the ring toss, walked on the balance beam while bending down to pick up bowling pins, walked on a treadmill, did a stair stepper and even used some little barbells to do arm lifts.  After about forty five minutes he was quite done though.  Anne (his physical therapist) thinks he is doing great and definitely getting stronger.
After P/T we waited around for about half an hour for Mike and Sage to return from some errands.  Aidan and I spent the time coloring a picture and playing games.  When they returned we quickly grabbed a bite to eat before we had to head back to the hospital for labs.  Labs today did not go all that well.  Aidan was very freaked out about having to have George put in (his port a cathe).  There was lots of crying a begging not to have it put in.  Once we finally got it in we then fought with it for about twenty minutes to actually get the draw.  I explained that we usually have to have him laying down to be able to get the blood for the lab.  Finally, we went into a room and had Aidan lay down and we were then able to get the draw.  Next, he had his height, weight and blood pressure done.  He has still not gained any weight back but he also has not lost any.
We then waited for Cori to come in and see us. Luckily they have a TV and VCR in the room because Cori was running an hour behind because she had three of her MRI patients bumped to the same time which seriously messed up her schedule.  Once Cori arrived we spent some time catching up since we had not seen her in over a month, then on to business. Basically, everything is going great.  No complaints except for Aidan's problems with his ingrown finger and toenails, a side effect of the Iressa.
We left the hospital at three thirty and headed back to the room to get some things together before we headed over to Issaquah for dinner with Aunt Kathy and the kids.  It was a hour commute with the traffic before we arrived.  Luckily we had a wonderful home cooked meal waiting for us and family to greet us.  As usual we had a great time visiting with the family and enjoying chocolate with Aunt Kathy.  At about nine we headed back home to do the nightly routine.
