Monday August 14

This morning I got up with Aidan and we headed downstairs to play with the train and have a bite while Mike and Sage slept.  Usually, I am the one still in bed and Mike is the one up with Aidan, but I wanted Mike to have a chance a little extra sleep.  Plus, it gave me some great one on one time with Aidan.  We shared many giggles and lots of snuggles.  My favorite way to start the day.
When we were downstairs we ran into Lauren, a house manager, who asked if it would be ok if she put my name on a list of parents to possibly speak at their annual fund raiser in September.  I told her that I would love to sing the praises of the house.  It has meant so much to us in these last few months and the house needs all of the support it can get.
After visiting with our neighbor Laurie, Thomas's mom, and playing with the trains, Aidan and I headed upstairs to see if Mike and Sage were up.  To our surprise they were not only up but they were also getting ready.  Not that we had any big plans for the day, but it is always just nice to be up and ready for what ever comes your way.  As it worked out though, most of the day was spent at the house playing.  Even dinner was provided tonight so we did not have to worry about getting groceries or going out.  I was very thankful because most of the day today I have been incredibly tired and barely able to keep my eyes open.  In fact, I am off to bed now.

PS  Please, Please, Please pray for our dear friend Jazmin and her mom and dad.  Jazmin is six years old and was diagnosed with Wilms cancer three years ago.  After having her kidney removed she went into remission until last year when her cancer spread to her lungs.  She is now on her fourth chemo and bravely fighting against terrible odds.  She needs our prayers and love.
