More Sad News Concerning Our DIPG Warriors - August 11, 2007

Aidan’s Angels,

Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma continues to be the most formidable of foes and unfortunately this cancers horrific statistics are proving very real for a lot of our kids.  Yet again, we bring you the sad news of the passing of three more of our DIPG warriors.  5 year-old Caroline Taylor earned here wings on Thursday August 9th, 6 year-old Lauren Renee Gillie on Friday August 10th, and
Elena Desserich earned her wings and went to our Lord earlier today.

Caroline, Lauren, and Elena’s passing are quickly on the heals of two others in recent days.  In the last nine days the DIPG community has had to endure the loss of five of our young warriors.  Considering the small percentage of DIPG kids we follow on Aidan’s website, and considering how many have recently passed, you can truly begin to understand the tremendous horror this cancer brings.

We are asking that you continue your prayers and support for Aidan, and also requesting that you say a prayer or two for these recently passed warriors.  Pray that their passing was not in vein, and that their sacrifice will eventually lead to the cure that will eliminate this monster once and for all.

Reading this truly breaks my spirit. As a mother of 3 healthy girls, I cannot begin to imagine the saddness and pain. I pray daily for all those involved, as I do for my brave nephew and his family. May God and his angels comfort these families with some sense of peace.
