Hello to all of our amazing Angels!  I can not believe that today my baby turns 6.  To be honest with you, last year at this exact time I wasn’t so sure that we would be celebrating another birthday with our boy.  Of course I hoped it, but I don’t know that I really believed it.  And here we are!

I can not put into words how truly special today is.  Birthdays have always been a very big deal to me and our family.  No matter if you want it or not, we celebrate a birthday.  But this birthday is one truly to be thankful for.  Our baby, who a mere 16 months ago was given a death sentence, is here to celebrate another year of miraculous events.   Many of you probably aren’t able to follow the other children with DIPG, but the last 16 months have taken so many precious babies.  In just this month of August we have lost five beautiful children.  And many of the kids who were diagnosed around the same time as Aidan have already left us.  What is happening with Aidan is the truest form of a miracle!  Not only do we have this amazing birthday to celebrate, but we have everyday to celebrate because everyday is a blessing from our God!

So I ask of each of you, please say a prayer of thanks for the gifts God has blessed the Zaugg family with, and then thank the Lord for allowing each of you to spend another day with the people you love.  Everyday is a miracle!

Thanks to each and every one of you who takes the time out of your day to think of Aidan and my family.  Know that just as you pray for us, we pray every night that each of you will be blessed for the kindness you send to us.  We love you all so very much.
