Kennewick Boy Diagnosed with DIPG - October 15, 2007

Our love for Aidan is regularly shared with other children that have been diagnosed with DIPG.  We have followed many throughout the country and have posted there progress, and unfortunately sometimes their passing on Aidan’s website.  It is indeed a very rare cancer so those that we follow are never located very close to home.  Well two weeks ago or so this changed dramatically.  Cathy received an email at work requesting prayers for a Kennewick 3 year-old boy that was recently diagnosed and was being treated a Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane.  His name is Cooper Larson and his Mom & Dad are Angela and David.

Having traveled this road ahead of them, we knew well of the trepidation and horror they were now experiencing.  We made contact with Cooper’s Grandmother Suzie, provided her with as much information as possible, and asked that she share it with her son and daughter-in-law.  On Saturday last week we attended a fundraiser for Cooper and brought Aidan along so Cooper’s family could meet him.  Tanya spent much time with Angela and informed her that in this moment of despair, there was indeed hope, and miracles do happen everyday.  She introduced Aidan as living proof that our God can provide and that Cooper too can be saved.  This time they shared, and the evidence that is Aidan, provided hope where before there was none.

As much as you have all done for Aidan, we ask that you now duplicate it for Cooper and his family. Your generous contributions, your unending support & comfort, and mostly your prayers, are now needed for Cooper also. Your God will reward you for your efforts for both of these wonderful little boys. If you are so inclined, financial help can be donated at any HAPO Community Credit Union branch.
