The exuberance we have all experienced because of Aidan’s continuing progress is now tempered with the realization that another young boy in our community has been diagnosed with the same very rare cancer as Aidan.  This boy’s family is now struggling to deal with the tremendously poor odds, the tortuous uncertainty, and the knowledge that their lives will never be the same.  They too will search the world for the cure that will save their son, and they too will reach out to their community for help.

The soon to be four year-olds name is Cooper Larson and he and his family resides in Kennewick, Washington.  We have had the good fortune to personally meet him, his Mom Angela, his Father Dave, and Grandparents Susie and Joe.  Our meetings have allowed Copper and his family to see for themselves that the combination of awesome care providers, positive attitude, a community that cares, and a whole lot of prayers can bring about the most remarkable results.  They witnessed firsthand an ongoing miracle and they were encouraged and hopeful that Copper can follow in the path that Aidan has already traveled.
