A Season to Remember - December 16, 2007

Dear Angels,

Just wanted to stop in to let everyone know that everything remains great and Aidan continues to do incredibly well.  No problems, no issues, no concerns.  He continues to amaze all of us each and everyday, and for that we are eternally grateful.  Last Friday he made his regular trip across the mountains to Seattle Childrens Hospital and all that was said is… “He looks awesome!”  Closing in on two years since diagnosis, what else could we ask for?

Aidan is unbelievably excited about Christmas approaching.  He really does love all aspects of it and eagerly volunteers to wrap gifts, decorate, watch Christmas specials & movies, or anything else that one would normally do during the season.  We convinced him that his brother Sage is the one responsible for any

snowfall we receive, and he asks Sage regularly if he could “make some more”.  His excitement is contagious and it is causing all of us to see past our difficulties and concerns, and enjoy the season with him.

Aidan has maintained his determination, excellent behavior, good nature, and humor, and we are confident Santa will see how deserving this very special little boy is.  With all that Santa can provide, there remains one thing that Aidan deserves that Santa will not have in his bag on Christmas night.  While Santa can provide loads of great things, he cannot provide the miracle which is the cure for DIPG.  This one will come from our God and it will be your continued prayers that will make it happen.

So… please remember Aidan and all of the other DIPG kids during this Christmas season. Thank your God for what Aidan has already received, and petition him one more time to allow the cure to be found and to allow Aidan the ultimate miracle for which he truely deserves.  And while you’re at it, stop by Aidan’s Guestbook, send him an email, or send a card to let him know that you have not forgotten and you are committed to being by his side as long as you are needed.

Thank You & Merry Christmas to You All,

Aidan's Family

Just wanted to stop by and say hello. Cooper continues to be doing well and in good spirits. Dave, Cooper and I fly to Maryland Jan 7th thru 12th to start the screening process for a Clinical trial that is in phase 2, called Pegylated Interferon Alfa-2b in Children with Diffuse Pontine Gliomas, thru the National Institute of Health. I’m very hopeful and pray that Cooper responds to this treatment as well as Aiden has with his. All of you always remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Aiden I want you to know that I think you are such an extraordinary young boy, every time I look at Cooper playing, sleeping or entranced in his video or movie, I think of your sweet face and find myself praying for you both, you boys are truly a blessing from the lord, always know how special your are to so many of us. Be well and enjoy the rest of your Christmas vacation!

    Best Wishes & Love,
