MRI Results - January 11, 2008

Aidan's Angels,

Aidan is still defying all the odds and continues to hold this cancer in check!  It is now 20+ months since diagnosis and another MRI is in the books with results that are once again “unchanged”.  This is the eighth MRI in a row which shows the tumor as unbelievably stable and 60% smaller then prior to radiation.  While he may still carry the tumor he was diagnosed with, he remains symptom free and is living a wonderful life as any normal 6-year-old would.  Considering the horrendous statistics associated with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, these miraculous results are very impressive indeed.

This MRI was a little different because it was Aidan’s first MRI without the luxury of being sedated.  Although we may have had some concerns when we heard this would be the case, Aidan had no concerns whatsoever… he bucked up, remained confident and brave, and handled it like a pro.  The radiologist said that he actually handled the MRI “better then most adults”.  Some pretty inspiring stuff from our 6 year-old little man.

Thanks to all of you for your continuing support and prayers.  While the doctors may not know exactly why or how Aidan is managing to do this, we are convinced this ongoing miracle is because of the tremendous amount of folks that are petitioning our God on Aidan’s behalf.  So, please keep it up and keep Aidan and his family in your daily thoughts and prayers.

Thanks again for all you do,

Aidan Zaugg and his Family

We know everybody calls their brave little boys “little man”, but how many have a 6 year-old that is already shaving!
