Mothers Day 2008 - May 12, 2008
| Happy Mother’s Day from the Zaugg Clan! I was hoping to spend Mother’s Day in the delivery room but our baby boy had different thoughts. So, here I sit, pregnant and waiting. Actually, I am fine with it as long as he continues to be strong and healthy. Yesterday we started the day off at home with the boys presenting me with their gifts. Sage made an origami box in the shape of a heart that he then wrapped in beautiful paper. Inside the box was a wooden heart that he had carved out of a chunk of wood for me the day before. I have to say, I was and am, highly impressed. It is beautiful, and painted my favorite color, purple. Then Aidan walked me downstairs, he made me close my eyes, I peeked a couple of times though. Once downstairs, on the dining table was a Sunday newspaper, a bottle of diet |

| peach ice tea (my new favorite liquid), a stuffed bear, a small box and a card. The card was from both of my boys and they told me how much they loved me and both of them wrote their own entries. Then, Aidan insisted I open the box. Inside was a beautiful necklace with a pendent. The pendent is a heart with a mother holding her child inside. Aidan keeps saying that it is two babies, him and Sage. I go along with it to keep him happy. He was so proud to tell me that he picked it out all by himself, but Daddy paid for it. Later Mike told me that Aidan had originally picked out a ring for me but it was $6000 so Mike told him he would have to pick something else. Hey, at least the women he ends up with will know that he has great taste in jewelry. After the opening of the presents we went to brunch with my parents, my grandparents, my brother Lance, De and their three kids and Bob. After brunch we hung out at the parent’s house and then Mike, the boys, Mom, Dad and myself went and saw Horton Hears a Who. I love hearing and watching my children laugh. It is truly a blessing every time. After the movie it was back to Mom and Dad’s for a game of Bunko and a lasagna dinner. It was a very nice day all-around. Here is an ode Aidan wrote to me also: She is as beautiful as a Rainbow | |
